To kick off the new year, we’re excited to announce that we have a fresh face in the mN studio: our brand new social media intern, Amy.
First though, a bit of background:
At the end of 2015, we headed over to The Juice Academy determined to discover some fresh social media talent. Primarily introduced as an apprenticeship programme, Juice Academy creators, Tangerine PR, now seek to provide opportunities for recent graduates to get a foot in the door of the digital industry through paid practical experience in a digital working environment.
The programme places potential graduates with an employer for 6-months whilst simultaneously providing training at the academy once a week. During the programme, expert speakers also give interns a unique insight into the latest social media trends.
Along with 20 or so other digital businesses, we went along to the Juice Academy Boot Camp in November to spend the day with 50 shortlisted graduates who brilliantly demonstrated their unique talents and approaches through a set of digital challenges, activities and speed interviews. Throughout the course of the day, we were impressed by Broadcast Media graduate Amy, and instantly knew that she’d be great here at mN!
And it wasn’t just us that thought so; Amy received three offers in total and chose to intern with us. Hurrah! Amy said that, “From the start, mN were one of my top choices so when they gave me the offer I was excited to be working with a creative, innovative and fun (but hard working) bunch with lots of great ideas for the digital design world”.
During her time at mN, Amy will be helping us with some of the exciting new social media projects we have in the building as well supporting our own social media activity.
We can’t wait to see what Amy brings to mN during the next 6 months, and we hope she learns as much from us as we do from her.
