‘ManchesterInFlux’ has been created to exhibit the buzz of activity and energy that the Festival brings to the city. By displaying a ‘world’ view and a view of Manchester, the project illustrates the Festival in an engaging new way and celebrates all of the individual events as a whole. ManchesterInFlux also provides an opportunity to see where commissions travel to after MIF15 is over.
For those less familiar, MIF takes place biennially bringing with it a wave of excitement to the city, attracting a huge amount of visitors and creating headlines all over the world. For 18 unique and extraordinary days, new works from across the spectrum of performing arts, visual arts and popular culture are showcased; ManchesterInFlux captures and collates it all, allowing you to explore MIF15 in a completely new way.
The project is available to explore online (ManchesterInFlux.com) and can also be seen on an LED screen at Bruntwood’s office building at Oxford Place. It is also on display on various screens in locations including Deansgate, Portland Street and MediaCity.
Bruntwood have always been proud supporters of culture and the arts. They have sponsored Manchester International Festival since the beginning and are now looking for new ways to push the limits of what a modern, collaborative cultural partnership can achieve. For mN, it’s been a wonderful opportunity to work with an organisation that’s so committed to supporting creativity and innovation.
With the Festival in full swing, now is a perfect time to explore ManchesterInFlux. Take a look and see what you can discover.
