A Manchester first…

Jan 29 2020

Last week we had some exciting news to celebrate as our very own Founder & CEO, Lou Cordwell was announced as Co-Chair for the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership. Lou’s been part of the GMLEP for over seven years now and this role sees a progression from Deputy Chair, SME Representative and Lead for Communications, Digital Broadcasting and Skills Fund.

She will be joined in this new position by fellow Manchester business-owner Mo Isap. Mo’s current GMLEP role is Lead for Education and Skills, and he’s also Founder and CEO of digital technology skills, talent and careers business, IN4.0.

It’s an exciting time as Lou and Mo set to build on the already amazing work that’s been done by their predecessor, Mike Blackburn and work together to strategically shape the future of Greater Manchester’s economic priorities, economic growth and the creation of jobs for the people of Manchester - and beyond.

Here’s some insight from Lou into what we can expect to see over the coming years:

I am looking forward to helping steer this next era of the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership together with Mo. It is more important than ever that Greater Manchester continues to have a strong platform for public and private partnership. We will strive to ensure that our LEP continues to be the modern, collaborative and ambitious voice of Greater Manchester business. Together, we will continue the development and delivery of our Local Industrial Strategy - our plan to deliver an economy fit for the future, with prosperous communities across the city-region.

Lou Cordwell
